3 Ways to Wear Boots

The temperature has finally started to drop here in Charlotte, so of course, I’m ready to pull out the boots. Over the knee, ankle booties, half calf–you name it, I’m rockin’ it. Since I know so many of you in Mel’s Mob are also deep in boot weather, I’ve decided to pop in to share a couple of my favorite ways to wear boots this season. If you follow me on Instagram (DUH!), you’ve probably seen a few other ways I’ve rocked them, but here’s some more booted goodness for you.

I’m so here for pairing my boots with blazers, leather skirts and shorts, sweater dresses, and denim, of course. Remember: it’s COLD outside,so there’s no shame in throwing on a good pair of tights with yours…no need to freeze for the sake of fashion!

As much as I LOVE them on other people, one style that’s been hard for me to wear is the over-the-knee boot.Your girl may be small, but she has some pretty big calves and thighs (thanks,mom), and it’s sometimes difficult to find boots that fit me comfortably. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I was able to snag these Mango boots for about $40 bucks. They’re regular priced at $100, so your girl couldn’t pass on this STEAL! I decided to rock them with a bright chunky-knit sweater and leather shorts, giving this an even edgier feel. I mean, the boots alone are fire enough!

These boots would also look awesome with a sweater dress, skirt and top (y’all know I love a good matching set!),or, if you’re lucky enough to have slimmer legs, you can rock these over a pair of jeans. Don’t be surprised if you see a lot of these over the next two months…they’re my favorite new item in my closet!

If you’re an ankle boot type girl, Target’s got the cutest booties in red, black, and white! Y’all know I live in Target, so when I saw these on sale for 25 bucks, I had to snag them. Of course, the leather made another appearance; I threw on this leather skirt from Zara and this BOMB leopard jacket from Dillard’s (again, thanks, Mom!), and voila! You’ve got yourself a LEWK.
