Mel’s Mob, your girl is on a roll! I recently just got the urge to create, create, create, so I’ve been moving at the speed of light. Whether it’s creating my very own sneaker wall or creating content for the blog, I’ve really enjoyed being back in the swing of things. I miss writing so much and love connecting with you guys in ways other than Instagram and Twitter.
If this pandemic has taught me ANYTHING, it’s that I actually have a good eye for home decor! I’ve been loving our collab sessions with Amber of Blessed Little Bungalow, and it’s inspired me to really learn more about what our design style is, but most importantly, where to find it! On top of new items fitting my design needs, I have to make sure one thing: IT’S WITHIN MY BUDGET. Home decor can get pretty pricey, but I’d like to think I’m now a pro at finding the perfect touches to any room at an affordable cost.

So, without further ado, here’s my list of my 5 Favorite Places to Shop for Affordable Home Decor!

Wayfair Wayfair is one of my favorite places to shop for home decor. I’m a girl that loves color and they have tons of it. From sofa and chair options to kitchen decor, dining room tables, and more…if I want it, Wayfair has it. I purchased our dining room table and chairs, living room chairs, bar cart, and bed all from Wayfair. Your girl is obsessed, can you tell? So head on over and take a look around. Their collections are to live for, they have a great return policy, and their items ship FAST. Can’t beat Wayfair! (And nope, this isn’t even an ad.) * FYI: Since putting this post up, we’ve learned some disturbing information about Wayfair. I don’t support them or their actions, but I wanted to be honest with you about where I’ve gotten a lot of my home decor items.

At Home I’m so glad we have two At Home stores in our area. I go in and rack up. Amber and I were able to get a lot of items for our guest bedroom from At Home. From wall art to chairs, sofas, kitchen tables, bar stools, bathroom supplies…again, you name it, they have it. It’s a HUGE store with tons of items to choose from. I love going in and walking around during the holidays, too, they have everything your home needs for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our bar stools & chairs for our bedroom reading nook are both from At Home & they fit our space perfectly. They also have a really great price point!

HomeGoods & TJMaxx

These two are cult classic stores, meaning WE ALL STAN FOR HOMEGOODS & TJMAXX. Y’all, I can never grab one thing and go. They have tons of decor and knick knacks at a very affordable price. HomeGoods & TJMaxx are my go-to for wall art, lamps, planters (shout out to my fellow new plant moms!), bedding, bathroom supplies, pillows, candles…I told y’all this is my spot! They have things I didn’t even know I needed. I may or may not moved in since outside has opened back up a little, LOL.

Target

Y’all know I can’t live without Target. Before COVID-19, I seriously used to go in at least once a week to walk around. I just needed my Target fix! LOL. They’re killing the home decor game, especially with their Opalhouse and Threshold collections. I am OBSESSED with Opalhouse. If you haven’t already, you need to check it out. It’s full of beautiful, rich colors and bold prints and patterns. It turns a room from “blah” to “chic” with just a few pieces. Outside of Opalhouse, I go to Target for their outdoor pieces, bathroom accessories, and kitchen decor/tools. Target literally has it all, but we all knew that, right?

I could go on and on, but I’m at my five store limit, LOL. If you don’t count HomeGoods & TJMaxx as two stores, I’ll throw in two freebies: Zara Home and H&M Home. I’ve heard so many great things about them! I haven’t purchased anything from either personally, but I have my eye on a few items, so stay tuned! If I snag anything good, you’ll be the first to know.

Where are you getting your home decor these days? Let me know in the comments!

XOXO,
