If you haven’t noticed by now (which is pretty much impossible at this point), I love switching up my hair styles. From braided ‘dos to blowouts to my tried-and-true twist out, I’m always changing my mane. Sometimes I get scissor happy, other times I’m loving how fast my curls grow. No matter what style I’m rocking, I always get so many DMs on social media asking me about hair stylist in Charlotte, NC. Truth is, I have many! From cuts to colors and braided looks, I love experimenting with styles and supporting the many stylists in the area who can 100% do their thing!
Y’all know that natural hair can be a lot sometimes. From washing and styling to deep conditioning, trimming, and adding color, it’s just… a lot. It gets hard out here, sis! But, I’m here to help you out. Unfortunately, my go-to stylist and salon closed earlier this year (*sad face*), but I’ve thankfully found some amazing artists that are all about healthy hair first. That’s what it’s all about!

From up do’s to twist outs, locs, or color treatments, here are my top Charlotte salon picks. Let’s jump right in.
Monica is my go-to stylist. She hooks me up with all my styles and trims, and ALWAYS keeps my hair healthy. I’ve gone to her throughout my natural hair journey and have always left with a smile on my face and healthier hair than ever before. She’s super personable, too; we always have amazing conversations when I’m in her chair!
Sabrina colored my hair. She very well versed in coloring hair the healthy way, and will teach you all about how to make sure your hair is healthy first and foremost. With the color I’m currently rocking, Sabrina customized a blend that would fit my skin tone and even my personality, and reassured me that it would be BOMB dot com. AND IT WAS! No surprise that she stays BOOKED, so if you’re interested in getting a cut or color make sure you book her in advance. No last minute appointments there! Sabrina’s story is so inspiring; she’s one of the hardest working women I know and her work speaks for itself every time.
Ereiol is another amazing natural hair stylist in the area. I gave her a try after a few family members recommended her, and she gave me a bomb steam treatment and flat twist style! Just like the other stylists, healthy hair is her focus, so no matter what look you’re going for, trust that you won’t leave with strained edges and damaged hair. If you’re looking for natural styles and blow outs minus the heat damage, Ereiol’s your girl!
When I’m need of a good blow out, I call my girl Ashley. She’s also a killer braider who will hook you right up! Ashley makes sure before doing any protective style that your hair is in tip-top shape first, meaning your ends are trimmed and your strands are moisturized. She also advises clients on their at-home regimen, giving great advice on what they should remove or add from their routine in order to keep their hair healthy.
When I get that itch to chop all my hair (which my friends always roll their eyes at, LOL), I call Sheena. She’s cut my hair twice, and when I say cut, I mean basically a big cop all over again! She’s a natural hair guru who can hook you up with a bomb blow out without ANY heat damage. You know how hard it is to achieve that?! She’s also great for weddings, makeup, and photoshoots. Sheena’s got you, girl!
An added bonus is that she also has a braider in her salon who who did my most recent box braids; so if you’re looking for a protective style, she’s in Charlotte on Saturdays. She killed my braids in record time. I’m definitely going back to her!
I think that about covers all the bases. If you’re ever in the market for a new stylist in Charlotte, these ladies get the MC stamp of approval! I trust all them with my mane and know you’ll be in great hands, too. Wherever you go, or whether you want to style your own hair, always remember that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp.
