Mel’s Mob! I know we’ve been dealing with a lot lately, but I hope you guys have been taken care of yourselves as well as staying safe. I’m not going to lie it’s been a hard past couple of weeks/month for me, but spending time outside in our backyard has been one of the ways I’m able to find joy. I’ve got a lovely backyard to work and relax from, all thanks to Lowe’s!  

You all know how much of an adventure the home-buying process was for me and Isa, and in the midst of all the interior decorating and making it feel like home, the ONE place we hadn’t tackled was our backyard/patio. I’m so excited to announce that I recently teamed up with Lowe’s to FINALLY make it happen! We are already in love with our new place and how it looks on the inside, and now we can finally say that we got our backyard all the way together, all thanks to Lowe’s.

HOW AMAZING, RIGHT? It’s so crazy because we’d been talking about creating a very cozy outdoor space that’ll allow us to get outside more during these uncertain times. We didn’t have a full concept, but I knew we definitely wanted to go with some sort of sectional type of couch that makes early mornings and late night chats under the stars that much more comfy. Once we built our wish list, we grabbed our masks, and off to Lowe’s we went. 

As soon as we walked in and saw the Allen + Roth Slipper Chair and Corner Chair, we knew it was THE ONE. It just looked like it would fit in our space perfectly and give us that cozy vibe we were going for. After that, it was on to accessories. I’m all about bright colors and Isa’s a very neutral guy…opposites attract, right? Since he let me have a field day with prints and colors inside, we decided to keep it neutral for the outdoor space. We looked around and found some super cute Allen + Roth textured pillows that gave me the tribal vibes I wanted, we threw in some wire planters and baskets, and we were good to go. 

The weather has been amazing in Charlotte, with a nice little breeze that flows through at night. We knew this Allen + Roth fire pit would be the perfect addition to our space, and we found one that fit perfectly. Finishing touches included a backyard Char-Broil stainless gas grill, tiki torches, and two fern plants. We couldn’t WAIT for date night. 

As soon as we made it back home, you know what we did, right? We immediately set up everything and set up shop outside. Date night included dinner and music in our cozy new backyard, and the vibe was so perfect. We talked for hours, took turns playing our favorite songs for each other, and fell even deeper in love knowing our home was finally complete.

The biggest takeaway from this whole experience with Lowe’s was that you shouldn’t get discouraged if you have a small outdoor space–you can still create an oasis that feels like YOU! Lowe’s has tons of patio items for everything from small apartment balconies to larger stretches of land. Just create a plan, decide on a color scheme, and determine the budget that works best for you. Lowe’s will take it from there! I’m obsessed with all things Allen + Roth at Lowe’s. Every piece is so on trend and at such a great price point!
